Oceanic Homes and Firm Unveil AHCON Garden Estate |
|
EFFORTS by Federal Government to lure the private sector into providing affordable houses to the teeming homeless Nigerians have begun to yield fruit, as a Primary Mortgage Institution (PMIs) last week launched a housing scheme that will provide residential accommodation to 800 families in Agbara, Ogun State.
The project promoted by Messrs. Oceanic Homes Savings and Loans Limited in conjunction with AHCON Estates Limited is christened AHCON Garden Estate. The strategic partnership with Oceanic Homes is aimed at providing easy access to house acquisition financing through the National Housing Fund (NHF).
Houses in the estate are categorised into three-bedroom detached bungalows and four bedroom semi-detached duplexes. The proposed facilities include; good roads, drains, treated water supply, packing space for each apartment, generator powered street lights, internet links, and security gate with telephone connectivity to each apartment. Other facilities include recreational parks, shopping malls, clinic and schools.
Marketing Manager of AHCON Estates Limited, Mr. Eniola Toyin, said the project is envisioned to take care of all strata of the society, especially low-income earners, middle class and the high end of the society.
Toyin commended the efforts of Oceanic Homes for its strategic partnership with ACHON putting in place an opportunity for the low-income earners to have access to house acquisition financing through the National Housing Fund (NHF).
Oceanic Homes is also involved in the development of Ibara Flagship Estate in Abeokuta Ogun State. The estate consists of customised three and four bedroom semi-detached houses with serviced quarters. Amongst the unique features of Ibara is the capacity for buyers to determine the level and quality of finishing for their property and tailor the cost of the property according to their financial capacity.
Meanwhile, as part of strategic efforts to position itself in the nation's real estate sector, Oceanic Homes, wholly owned mortgage banking subsidiary of Oceanic Bank international Plc is set to open branches in Ikeja, Lagos Island and Abuja.
