Experts in land management and other stakeholders will have the opportunity to brainstorm with a view to evolving strategies for optimal development of the land resources of Ogun State when they converge on the Valley View Auditorium, Isale Igbehin, Abeokuta, on Thursday, March 26, for the 1st Gateway Lands Forum.

The conference, which is being organised by the state’s Bureau of Lands and Survey, according to a statement made available to our correspondent on Friday, will focus on the theme, “Agenda for a Secure Future: Challenges and Prospects of Real Estate Development in Ogun State.”

Governor Gbenga Daniel, the will be the special guest of honour and chief host of the conference, which will be chaired by a former Minister of Finance, Dr. Onaolapo Soleye.

The Vice-Chancellor, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Prof. Kayode Oyesiku, a PhD holder in Urban and Regional Planning, will deliver the lead paper entitled, “The Ogun State Plan and Challenges of Implementation.”

The Director-General, BLS, Mr. Gbenga Ogunnoiki, said the forum would provide a platform for collaboration between private stakeholders and government on the orderly development of the land resources in Ogun State and the optimal exploration of opportunities for real estate and other investments in the state.
