Imo State hosts 2009 National Housing Summit |

Imo State has been granted officials right to host the forthcoming “2009 National Housing Summit" come 25th February, this year.
The good news was broken when the Board Directors of Imo State House Corporation paid the Works. House and Transport Commissioner, Barr. Ralph Nwosu a courtesy visit in his office.
According to the Board Chairman, Eze Duruihuoma (SAN) the Hosting Right was granted to Imo State at the last National Housing Summit held in Akwa Ibom State last year.
Continuing, Duruihoma (SAN) remarked that they came to pledge their undiluted support and loyalty to the parent Ministry and acquaint Commissioner Nwosu with their difficulties.
The Board Chairman who solicited the assistance of the Commissioner in ensuring full participation of the LGAs to the Summit, also said the Cooperation’s General Manager, Mr. Iwuji has been mandated to put every logistic in place to ensure a remarkable success.
Responding, the Commissioner for Works, House and Transport, Barr. Ralph Nwosu expressed immense appreciation for the composition of the Board and congratulated them on their deserved meritorious appointment. The Works Commissioner described the National Housing Summit as a very important programme and charged the Board Members to expedite action to enable the state host the Summit successfully.
Barr. Nwosu then expressed confidence and hoped that the Summit will afford the state fertile opportunity to benefit from the rich harvest of intellectual ideas resulting from the Summit Event. The Works Commissioner, who advised the Board Directors of Imo State Housing Corporation to keep in touch with His Excellency Governor Ikedi Ohakim for necessary logistics, pledged his readiness to ensure success of the National Housing Summit to be hosted by Imo State.
